Ask for the Old Paths

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16

This ministry is rooted and grounded in the Word of God (the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth). The message we preach, teach, and demonstrate to the best of our ability by that true Word of God, will bring repentance, life from death, prosperity and healing.

We have a responsibility to continue in those old paths of holiness, righteousness, and godliness, so that we can also reap the benefits of revival in our midst (i.e., have the presence of the Lord among us).

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Psalm 63:1-2

There are some among us who need healing in their bodies and souls, and they will get that healing only through the old paths and the good way. Through doing what King David did, seek God.

We must be forgiven of our sin and converted.

To get these blessings from the Lord, we must first be forgiven.

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:1-5

We must be converted, or changed into the new creature God requires us to be.

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. Isaiah 6:10

We must return to the Lord, and stop following after our own ways.

Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. Hosea 6:1

We must humble ourselves and pray, asking the Lord to have mercy on us.

O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. Psalm 30:2

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:19-20

We must pray and hear the Word of God, rightly divided.

And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. Matthew 4:23

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22

We must call for prayer, also an exercise in humility and obedience.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:14-15

We must have faith and trust, believing in the healing power of Jesus Christ.

Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. Matthew 9:29

And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Matthew 13:58

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Proverbs 3:5-8

May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ help you to believe His Holy Word and give you all your requests according to His will. In Jesus name, Amen.
